Worms franchise has been a major hit for Team17, selling over 75 million units since its first launch in 1995. In line with this huge success, Team17 has been willing to maintain the support for Worms Armageddon, and towards this end, I was personally hired by the current developers to localize the game into Turkish. I have localized content amounting to 92,000 characters during the localization process. I have also worked closely with the community during the LQA process to ensure positive feedback from the Turkish playerbase. The Turkish localization will be available in the upcoming v3.8.2 update.

I worked on the Turkish localization of Shelter, an app that leverages the “Work Profile” feature of Android to provide an isolated space that users can install or clone apps into. Localization operations are done through a self hosted Weblate server. My responsibilities for this project included localization of the app and testing the localized app for the localization QA. The LQA process was divided into three parts: Linguistic QA, Visual QA and Functional QA.
I worked together with a colleague on the Turkish localization of Ad-free QR & Barcode Scanner, an Android app developed by Dmitry Ilchenko. The developer favored the use of Transifex for our localization operations. My colleague worked as the localizer, so I assumed the editorship of the project. After he was done with the localization, I began the reviewing process, which included bilingual editing and localization testing. The methodology of the localization testing is based on the “road map” provided by the developer.
